An interesting specimen of the genus Biophytum (Oxalidaceae) collected from Pechiparai of Kanyakumari district is confirmed as Biophytum veldkampii. This note reports the occurrence of this species in the state of Tamil Nadu as a new record. A detailed description and photo to facilitate field identification of this species are provided here.
