Mysore Grass Lily Iphigenia mysorensis (Colchicaceae), a new record for the Flora of Tamil Nadu, India

Abstract

Iphigenia mysorensis Arekal & S. N. Ramaswamy belonging to family Colchicaceae, a rare and endemic species, has been reported for the first time from Tamil Nadu. This species was recorded previously from Hassan, Mysore and Tumkur districts of Karnataka. A detailed description, photo-plate and other relevant informations are provided.
