The occurrence of the genus Mitrasacme Labill. in Telangana is confirmed in this communication. Besides M. pygmaea R.Br. is recorded as new to the flora of Telangana. Brief generic and species descriptions, key to the species, phenology, distribution and colour photo plate is provided for identification.
